VI4331
The VI4331 is a direct Time-of-Flight (ToF) imaging sensor that integrates a 240×96 Single-Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) pixel array, a front-end Time-to-Digital Converter (TDC), and a depth Digital Signal Processor (DSP). When combined with a pulsed laser transmitter, this sensor can generate a 240×96 depth image. It features a MIPI CSI-2 interface that supports pixel data formats for both histogram mode and DSP mode. Additionally, it integrates an illumination controller and four laser triggers to support addressable VCSEL configurations for up to four illumination channels. The sensor includes a Microcontroller Unit (MCU) to enable software patching and enhance sensor programmability. It also incorporates an SPI interface, which allows configuration of the downstream Laser Diode Driver (LDD) in the ToF system and enables the sensor to directly access module calibration data and firmware code stored in module memory (such as EEPROM or Flash).
