Mass Production of visionICs Single-Photon 1D dToF Sensor VI5300
The VI5300 is a single-photon 1D dToF
optical sensor launched by visionICs, which has entered mass production and
achieved commercial deployment across diverse industries including smartphones,
robot vacuum cleaners, and smart homes.
Based on the direct Time-of-Flight (dToF)
ranging principle, the VI5300 features a System-in-Package (SiP) design,
integrating a Single-Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) receiver array and a VCSEL
laser emitter. This sensor enables precise distance measurement of objects,
with accuracy unaffected by target color, reflectivity, or texture. It
maintains reliable operation in both low-light environments and direct
sunlight.
With a maximum precise ranging distance of 4 meters and a measurement frequency of 90Hz, the VI5300 is ideally suited for space-constrained design applications such as camera Laser Autofocus (LDAF), presence detection, industrial distance measurement, laser navigation, and inventory monitoring.
